MEET THE COACHES
Barnaby Gray
Coaching
Barnaby is a Triathlon Race Official, Race Organiser and has supported Triathlon England as the Young Persons Co-Ordinator for South Central. He is a British Triathlon Level 2 Coach and Open water swimming coach.
Barnaby is passionate about all aspects of the Multi-Sport lifestyle and is always looking to support novice and more experienced athletes achieve their best which is why he is proud to be associated with The Castle Race Series whom Tri-High enjoy many of their events.
Competing
Barnaby is fully involved in all things Multi-Sport from competing for Great Britain in a number of World and European Championships and is still competing for GB as an Age Grouper.
In 2021 he won the England age group middle distance Triathlon championships. He has competed in all distances and is presently focused on qualifying for the world Ironman Championships. Presently he has completed 9 full Ironman events including Lake Placid, UK, Texas, Switzerland, Wales and France.
Permanent Position
Teaches at Edgeborough School as PE and Games Teacher with overall responsibility for swimming, cross country, tennis, athletics, rugby and of course – Tri-High Edgeborough.
AUBREY MALCOLM -GREEN
Coaching
Aubrey is a homegrown Tri-High coach and triathlete having been introduced and coached by Head Coach Barnaby Gray. From a sprint triathlon to an Ironman in six months was Aubrey’s introduction to Triathlon. Aubrey has now completed a number of full Ironman’s whilst also finding the time to coach and support other Tri-High members.
Aubrey is a Triathlon England qualified coach.
MANDY KEEL
Coaching
Mandy has come from European Silver Tae-Kwon Do to the world of Triathlon thanks to Barnaby Gray. He coached Mandy from a sprint triathlon to a 70.3 Ironman in Vichy France in 2021.
Mandy is Tri-High Welfare officer and supports with the junior coaching alongside Barnaby.
Competing
Mandy is presently working on her sea swimming ahead of her 2022 challenge Ironman Weymouth.
Permanent Position
During the day, Mandy works at Woldingham School and by night she supports Barnaby at Edgeborough School with Tri-High Edgeborough coaching.
