A career in Sport

The rugby career which included playing for Harlequins and England Colleges / U21’s was brought to a close to focus on a career of inspiring children as a school master. Over 20 years was spent Directing Sport and twelve of those as Head of Boarding but time was still found to develop a career as an international Triathlete which has included representing Great Britain at a number of World & European Championships. Barnaby is still competing for Great Britain as an Age Group Triathlete but is presently focussing on long distance racing & qualifying for the World Ironman Championships in the coming years. The 2017 campaign included the North American Ironman Championships in April with several other long distance events including Ironman Wales in September.

What advice would Barnaby give?

Children are the future and exercise is so important for all individuals, children & adults. Swimming, cycling & running are life skills and all children (& adults) should enjoy splashing around in the water, playing on their bikes & running around.
